We are a collection of mentoring clubs for Software Entrepreneurs (Ents) and Mentors (Ments), we help each other create new software solutions and software-enabled businesses.
We are NOT-FOR-PROFIT, there's no charge to join our club and we do not sell consulting services on behalf of any Mentor members (they donate their time for free).
What do we do?
Local chapters of EntMent host informal monthly meetups.
Friendly places to help and be helped, relaxed yet focused.
Urgency radiates from those with vision.
Their enthusiasm is contagious.
GroupBuild process
The GroupBuild process helps keep us focused while we are having so much fun, although it concentrates the group's efforts around those of us who get stuff done.
Yep, EntMent is elitist in that regard, but we have to be. We do not want to waste each others’ time.
Anyone can be a dreamer, Ents must also be doers.
We practice pitching our visions (sometimes uploading them to Youtube), and we invite feedback from around the table as we demo our solutions or test out our ideas.
Local Mentor Boards help with the less glamorous task of packaging up Ents for investor readiness.
If an Ent intends to bootstrap their startup (i.e. no outside funding), then the Ent may only want EntMent to help package their business plan, they may care less about polishing an investor roadshow.
